  • Nearly fullsized keyboard provides a pleasant typing experience
  • Audio speakers provide DTS controls
  • Decent processing performance for the price
  • Inclusion of an HD
  • Full-on Windows 8.1 means there aren't any up-front roadblocks to what you can try to run. It's nice to have an app-menu that isn't immediately limited like it is on a Chromebook. Spotify

The editors didn't like

  • Display is a tradeoff for the cheaper price
  • Paying for additional years of Office 365 and OneDrive may end up costing more than the device purchase
  • Full-on Windows 8.1 means there aren't any up-front roadblocks to what you can try to run. If you don't keep the Stream's lack of processing power in mind--or give a Stream to grandma who doesn't know any better--you're bound to run into some bad times. C
  • Appearance might be a little garish for some
  • Abysmal performance
  • Iffy touchpad
  • Even running a few tasks at once can slow it down. The touchpad is often finicky
  • And the onboard 32GB SSD is too small for even casual use
  • Performance and trackpad response can be slow. The 32GB SSD storage is low
  • Design might be a little garish for some
  • Won't cope well with more demanding programs
  • Unspectacular HD display
  • Slightly iffy touchpad
